DAISY stands for Digital Audio-based Information Systems. It is a new worldwide e-book file standard. DAISY offers a broad range
of accessibility features, including: scaleable text that is fully synchronized with a digital audio track, and a search
function giving the user instant access to any section of the electronic document. The DAISY standard also features simultaneous
audio/visual playback, captioning, audio description, and electronic playback of digital video, when appropriate.
